AIGC Acceptable Use Policy

The content rules, prohibited categories, enforcement and reporting process for PhotoCraft's AI image tools

2026/10/28

1. Scope

This AIGC Acceptable Use Policy ("AIGC Policy") applies to every use of PhotoCraft's AI image generation and editing features (the "AIGC Features"), including restore, colorize, enhance, background and sky replacement, object and watermark removal, avatar, scene, hairstyle, expression, transform, anime, cartoon and room design.

It forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the AIGC Features, you agree to this AIGC Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the AIGC Features.

You must have the right to upload every image you submit, and you must obtain consent from any identifiable person depicted in an input image before generating or publishing a modified version of that person.

2. Prohibited Content Categories

You must not create, upload, request, store, publish or distribute any of the following.

2.1 Sexual or NSFW content

  • Pornography, explicit sexual acts, exposed genitalia, or sexualized nudity.
  • Sexualized depictions of any person without their consent.
  • Fetish, suggestive or "NSFW" content whose primary purpose is sexual arousal.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery, including "nudify" or undressing transformations.
  • Legitimate artistic, medical or educational material may be permitted only where it is non-explicit, lawful and does not involve minors or non-consenting individuals.

2.2 Violence, gore and self-harm

  • Graphic violence, gore, mutilation, dismemberment, torture or cruel treatment of humans or animals.
  • Content that glorifies, encourages or provides instructions for violence, terrorism, self-harm, suicide or eating disorders.
  • Content that depicts a real person being harmed, killed or abused in a realistic way.
  • Weapons or explosive instructions intended to cause harm.

2.3 Hate speech and harassment

  • Content that promotes hatred, hostility, dehumanization or discrimination against a person or group based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, caste or other protected characteristic.
  • Harassment, bullying, threats, stalking, defamation or doxxing of an individual.
  • Symbols, slogans or imagery associated with hate groups, extremism or terrorism, except for lawful journalistic, educational or counter-extremism purposes.

2.4 Child-unsafe content and CSAM

  • Any sexualization, sexual exploitation or sexual abuse of a minor, including AI-generated, illustrated, anime or cartoon depictions.
  • Nudity or sexualized imagery involving a minor, or any attempt to make a minor appear older for a sexual purpose.
  • Content that grooms, endangers or exploits a minor.
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is strictly prohibited. We report apparent CSAM to the relevant authorities, including child-safety organizations and law enforcement, and cooperate with their investigations. We may preserve and disclose relevant account, image and log data as required or permitted by law.
  • If you encounter CSAM anywhere, report it immediately to the relevant local authority and to us at [email protected].

2.5 Deepfakes, impersonation and deception

  • Synthetic or manipulated images of a real, identifiable person created or shared without their consent, where the result is false, misleading, sexual, defamatory, harassing or likely to cause harm.
  • Impersonating any person, brand, government body or entity, or falsely suggesting their endorsement, affiliation or authorization.
  • Content intended to deceive, defraud, manipulate an election, evade identity verification, or fabricate evidence, news or a real event.
  • Political, electoral or public-interest deepfakes that could reasonably be mistaken for authentic recordings or photographs, unless clearly labelled and lawful.
  • Images of minors or private individuals used for harassment, extortion or "revenge" purposes.

2.6 Copyright, trademark and other rights

  • Content that infringes copyright, trademark, design, publicity, privacy or other rights.
  • Uploading someone else's photo, artwork or logo without permission.
  • Generating protected characters, logos, artwork, song lyrics, celebrity likenesses or brand assets for unauthorized commercial use.
  • Removing watermarks, ownership notices or technical protection measures in order to infringe or misrepresent ownership.
  • Using output in a way that falsely suggests affiliation with or endorsement by a rights holder.

3. Other Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • use the AIGC Features to violate any law, regulation, court order or sanctions regime;
  • attempt to bypass content filters, safety systems, rate limits or credit deductions;
  • use the Services to build or train a competing model, or to scrape outputs at scale;
  • resell, sublicense or provide the AIGC Features to third parties without our written permission;
  • upload malware or attempt to compromise our systems or another user's account; or
  • misrepresent AI-generated output as authentic human-created evidence, journalism or a real event.

4. Enforcement Actions

If we believe content or activity violates this AIGC Policy, we may take one or more of the following actions, depending on severity, context and repeat behaviour:

  • remove or restrict access to the content;
  • cancel the job and forfeit the credits used for it;
  • issue a warning and require you to correct your behaviour;
  • limit features, apply rate limits or place your account under review;
  • suspend or permanently terminate your account and access to the Services;
  • refuse future purchases or refunds to the extent permitted by law; and
  • report the matter to law enforcement, child-safety organizations, rights holders or regulators.

We may act immediately and without prior notice where there is a risk of serious harm, illegal content, child exploitation or ongoing abuse. A violation of this AIGC Policy is a material breach of our Terms of Service.

You may appeal an enforcement decision by emailing [email protected] within 14 days of the decision. We will review the decision and respond within a reasonable period. Appeals do not suspend the enforcement action unless we decide otherwise.

5. Reporting Violations

If you see content or behaviour that violates this AIGC Policy, report it to [email protected] with the subject "AIGC abuse report". Please include:

  • the account or showcase URL;
  • the job ID, if available;
  • a description of the issue and the rule you believe was violated; and
  • screenshots or other supporting evidence.

Signed-in users can also use the Report link on showcase items or Settings → Feedback. For child-safety emergencies, contact the relevant local authority first, then notify us immediately.

We acknowledge reports within 1 business day. We aim to review and act within 3 business days, and faster for urgent safety issues. We may keep a record of reports and outcomes for trust-and-safety purposes. Knowingly submitting a false or abusive report may itself violate our Terms.

6. Content Moderation

We combine several layers of moderation:

  • Provider filters: AI model providers may filter prompts, input images and outputs for prohibited content.
  • Automated checks: blocklists, hashing and other technical measures to detect known illegal or abusive material.
  • Human review: public showcase submissions are reviewed before they appear, and reported content is reviewed by our team.
  • Spot checks and investigations: we may review accounts and jobs in response to reports, anomalies or legal requests.
  • User reports: reports from users and rights holders help us identify content we may have missed.

We do not pre-screen every private image before processing, and automated systems can make mistakes. If your content is removed or restricted, you may appeal as described in Section 4. We may preserve content and related data where necessary to investigate abuse or comply with law.

7. AI Models and Transparency

We route AIGC Features to the model best suited to the task. Current models include:

  • Nano Banana (Gemini 2.5 Flash Image) by Google, used for generative edits such as restore, colorize, anime, cartoon, avatar, scene, hairstyle, expression, transform, background replacement, sky replacement and room design;
  • Clarity Upscaler, used for detail reconstruction and upscaling in Enhance;
  • BiRefNet, with rembg as a fallback, used for background removal; and
  • LaMa (Large Mask Inpainting), used for object and watermark removal with a painted mask.

These models are accessed through fal.ai and other infrastructure providers. The editor displays the model used for the selected tool. Model names and versions may change as providers update or retire them; we will update this page when the models used for paid features change materially.

8. Copyright and Rights Holder Requests

If you believe content on PhotoCraft infringes your copyright or trademark, email [email protected] with the subject "IP takedown request" and include:

  • your name and contact details;
  • identification of the work or mark you claim is infringed;
  • the URL or location of the allegedly infringing content;
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized;
  • a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf; and
  • your physical or electronic signature.

We may remove or restrict access to the content, notify the uploader, and provide a process to submit a counter-notice where required by law. Repeated infringement may result in account termination.

9. Changes

We may update this AIGC Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date, and we may provide additional notice by email or in the Services. Your continued use of the AIGC Features after the effective date means you accept the updated policy. If you do not agree, stop using the AIGC Features.

10. Contact

For questions about this AIGC Policy, moderation decisions, reports or takedown requests, contact [email protected] or use our contact page.
